Welcome to PhiDE SC Beta
We are the Phi Delta Epsilon SC Beta Chapter at Clemson University. As an official chapter of the International Medical Fraternity, Phi Delta Epsilon (PhiDE), we serve as a supportive and driven organization for pre-medical undergraduate students. As the only international medical fraternity on campus, we are dedicated to fostering academic excellence, professional development, leadership, and lifelong brotherhood. Our chapter is committed to preparing future physicians through mentorship, service to our community, philanthropic involvement, and opportunities that promote personal growth and ethical medical practice. Through unity and purpose, we strive to uphold the values of PhiDE while empowering our members to become compassionate leaders in medicine and healthcare. We are proud to say that our chapter at Clemson won the Silver award for raising +$10,000 for Children's Miracle Network and Dr. Steve Soldinger Award of Excellence for 2025.

Our Values

Philanthropy
Our organization’s national philanthropy is Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a cause dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children across the country. At the local level, we are proud to support Prisma Health Children’s Hospital Greenville, ensuring that the funds we raise directly benefit children and families within our own community. All donations are used to address the hospital’s most immediate and meaningful needs, including projects like the newly established playroom in the new Hematology-Oncology Wing, which provides a comforting and engaging space for patients during treatment. We raise funds all throughout the school year with our two main fundraising pushes being the Anatomy Fashion Show and Stand For The Kids Week.
Beyond fundraising, we value hands-on involvement and actively participate in hospital-hosted events throughout the year. Our members regularly attend and support special occasions such as the annual Goodnight Lights celebration and Halloween Reverse Trick-or-Treating, helping to bring joy, normalcy, and encouragement to children receiving care.
In 2025, our collective efforts resulted in raising more than $15,000 for Prisma Health Children’s Hospital Greenville.

Diety
"Deity” serves as a reminder that healing is guided by a power greater than ourselves. This principle is central to our mission of developing physicians of integrity. By recognizing a higher purpose in the practice of healing, we strive to foster character and values alongside clinical excellence.
Our organization is supported by a strong and diverse network of over 200 alumni, encompassing current medical students, practicing physicians, and distinguished members across various stages of their careers. Together, they exemplify our commitment to service, leadership, and integrity within the medical profession.

Equity and Education
Our chapter brings together students from an array of academic and personal backgrounds, reflecting the broad spectrum of paths that lead to a career in medicine. Members pursue studies ranging from the sciences and healthcare fields to the humanities and business, creating a community enriched by varied perspectives and experiences. This diversity strengthens our organization and shapes a culture rooted in collaboration, understanding, and mutual respect. Through our chapter, we strive to reflect the diversity of the medical profession itself. We treat one another and those we serve with empathy, professionalism, and openness. We are dedicated to evolving as students and future leaders in healthcare.
A Letter From Our President
Phi Delta Epsilon is more than a medical fraternity; it is a community built on support, growth, and shared purpose. The path to becoming a physician is long and demanding, but through PhiDE, I have found the resources, mentorship, and encouragement that have given me the confidence to persevere. This organization has provided not only academic and professional guidance, but also a sense of belonging that has been instrumental in my journey at Clemson.
I am grateful to call our members and fellow officers my family. Supporting other pre-medical students as they navigate their own paths toward becoming physicians has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my college career. Being able to continue fostering the growth of our members and strengthening our fraternity as a whole is one of the most fulfilling aspects of being President.
The members of our fraternity are the best that Clemson has to offer. Every member embodies the values of future physicians and proudly represents the excellence and prestige of Phi Delta Epsilon. As President, I am excited to continue supporting the growth of our members and helping our fraternity grow stronger.
